How to Enable SMS for Microsoft Teams Numbers with HelloSend
HelloSend integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Teams for an effortless messaging experience. Keep your existing Teams phone number or activate a new one in seconds—no porting or disruptions required.
Step 1: Setting Up & Using HelloSend in Microsoft Teams
Enter your Microsoft account credentials and sign in.
Click the three dots in the left sidebar.
Choose HelloSend.
Click Connect with Teams button.
Select SMS from the available options.
Click on Teams to configure the settings.
Click Authorize and sign in with your Microsoft Teams account.
Once connected, your Microsoft Teams number will be displayed in HelloSend.
Turn on SMS Enable Number.
Unlock the Business Verification button to enable Microsoft SMS number.
Step 2: Create Templates for Direct and Campaign Messaging
Go to Settings in the left sidebar.
Click on Templates.
Select Add Template to start building your message.
Template Name (Friendly Name): Assign a relevant name for easy identification.
Select Module: Choose the CRM module (Leads, Deals, Contacts, etc.) where this template will be used.
Step 3: Compose Your Personalized Message
Type your message in the editor.
Use dynamic placeholders (CRM fields) to insert contact-specific details automatically.
Example:
Instead of: Hi, just a friendly reminder about your upcoming appointment on Monday at 4pm. Reply 'YES' to confirm or 'RESCHEDULE' for a new time. See you soon!

Step 4: Save and Test Your Template
Click Add to store the template.
Step 5: Start Messaging
Go to Inbox in HelloSend.
Choose the inbox contact.
Select the newly created template.
Enter a test recipient number and send a sample message.
